Senior Systems Engineer - Virtualization

Essential Functions: 

• Leads complex systems projects both regionally and globally.  
• Provide consultation and direction to IT Management and Infrastructure teams across multiple  
• technology disciplines.  
• Escalation point for regional and global technical issues from junior team members and IT teams.  
• Responsible for technical management, operation and maintenance of Server infrastructure.
• Monitors and maintains Systems and Services.
• Investigates and resolves problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues.
• Evaluates, tests, and recommends solutions.
• Implementation of Systems and ensures quality standards.
• Provides ongoing information to management and peers regarding the general health of the  
• environment, as well as enhancements and innovations.
• Keeps updated on industry trends and emerging technologies as applicable to Parexel.
• Keeps IT management abreast of any changes in the technologies which may impact business  
• Decisions.
• Required to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Required to have a solid understanding of VMware VSAN and VCF.
• Required to have a solid understanding of Cisco UCS hardware platforms.
• Solid understanding of networking and storage arrays/networks is desired.
• Solid understanding of Zerto is a plus. 
  

Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience is required.
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent.
