Director, AI Product

Job Introduction:

At Parexel, we are a leading Clinical Research Organization company specializing in delivering life-changing medicines to patients. We are seeking a Director, AIProduct to join our growing AI Labs team. In this role you will work collaboratively with the Global Head of AI Labs to set the overall goals and development plan for the team. Bringing your AI/ML/NLP technical knowledge to support thought leadership, marketing, AI Center of Excellence, and our overall goals to democratize AI knowledge at Parexel.

Who we are looking for:

Driven individuals with proven experience as a Director of Product or similar role who will be responsible for leading the product strategy and development for AI-based products built by AI Labs.  In this role you will define the product vision and strategy, develop and own the product roadmap, hire and mentor product managers, and lead the cross-functional team of AI Labs ML/NLP engineers, software engineers, quality assurance, clinical project specialists, and key business stakeholders to execute that product plan. That possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills while demonstrating impeccable communication skills.

What you’ll do:

• Establish a deep understanding of the industry, customer needs and pain points to develop the overall product vision and strategy for AI Labs.
• Set a vision, excite and lead cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams of product managers, engineers, designers, quality assurance and others, providing guidance and direction to achieve the product vision.
• Develop the strategy and approach to accomplishing the overall organization and product vision. Understand market and competitive landscape, identify strengths and weaknesses of the organization, and develop the plan, goals and outcomes for organization and product success.
• Own the product management lifecycle, including researching opportunities and pain points, driving the vision and product strategy, defining how the solutions and products work, developing the product implementation plan, leading the cross-functional team to execute that plan and analyzing data and customer/user feedback to continually iterate and improve.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, clinical project specialists, and product managers to build and maintain roadmap, and implement best practices.
• Partner with engineering, customers and users to define and implement features to satisfy customer and user requirements.
• Regularly provide feedback—both positive and constructive—to help individuals grow in their careers and have clear paths to success.
• Accountable for overall performance and delivery of direct reports to deliver on time and with first time quality, in alignment with Parexel values.

Additional details:

10+ years experience in product management, including at least 5 years leading product management teams, spanning the technology, enterprise software, clinical development, clinical research, and broader healthcare software industries. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver AI-based software products and services that drive measurable value to large enterprises. Strong working and hands on knowledge with machine learning, natural language processing, deep learning, and leading teams building and deploying ML/NLP systems in production. Significant experience with software engineering, software engineering tools and usage, data analysis, data processing architectures, and modern web applications. Demonstrated ability to effectively plan high level strategy down to discussing technical engineering trade-offs and architecture decisions. Proven experience influencing the strategy, design and implementation of projects and program deliverables. Excellent verbal & written communication skills as well as presentation skills are paramount. Education to degree level in engineering, computer science, or other relevant qualification/experience.
