Key Accountabilities

  • Preparation of Payroll inputs for India Payroll
  • Liaise with the external payroll vendor for timely processing of payroll
  • Check payroll output reports and ensure employees' salaries are paid accurately and as per the company's policy and local statutory regulations
  • Prepare and create standard and adhoc reports as and when required
  • Responsible for filing all the relevant documents as required under the labour laws
  • Filing of Monthly/ Quarterly/Yearly payroll related returns to respective authorities
  • Responding to Employees’ Payroll queries.
  • Maintain Payroll records as required by SOX
  • Working on the Audit documentation for Payroll
  • Individually handle Statutory Audits

Skills

  • Practical Working knowledge to utilize Excel for managing reporting files to compare data and calculations
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive and methodical approach to planning and organizing workload
  • Positive and self-motivated attitude towards work
  • Proven ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload
  • Able to work in an autonomous fashion, but is aware of when they need to ask questions to complete high quality and complex work
  • Works using their initiative on a regular basis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Sound analytical skills to manage payroll queries and audits


Education

  • Bachelor degree preferred. 

Experience

  • Should have at least two-three years of experience in a payroll and a strong understanding of payroll processing and tax compliance. 
  • Previous experience in other countries Payroll is preferred.
